India's first pure-play forward-deployed AI firm
Deployment Inc spun out of used-car marketplace Cars24 in August 2026 with a $5M seed and an OpenAI Select Partner badge, billing itself as India's first dedicated forward-deployed AI company. The whole company is the FDE function, not a department inside one. Cars24 is both the first investor and the first customer — the firm is productizing the AI muscle Cars24 built internally.
Forward deployed as the entire business
The model is embedded pods of engineers placed inside enterprise customers across BFSI, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics and consumer. Each pod ships from first diagnostic to production, measured against outcomes the customer chooses rather than tickets closed. OpenAI is the deployment partner; the FDEs wire frontier models into critical workflows and own the result end to end.
The founding team
