What Redpanda builds
Redpanda is a Kafka-API-compatible streaming data platform — a C++ rewrite pitched as faster and simpler to operate than Kafka — spanning Redpanda Streaming, Connect (300+ connectors), and a distributed SQL engine. In late 2025 it added the Agentic Data Plane (ADP), a governed data-access layer for AI agents. The forward-deployed role sits on ADP, embedding builders inside customer environments.
