It lands inside a full Applied AI org that now runs geo-specific FDE seats (US, Paris, Munich, London, Tokyo), FDE managers in NYC and London, a Pre-Sales Program Lead for FDE, and Technical Deployment Leads — the forward-deployed motion has graduated from a handful of founding hires into a staffed function. London is the EMEA financial-services beachhead.
The role
Applied AI team Forward Deployed Engineer at Anthropic based in London, embedding with strategic EMEA enterprise customers to build production applications on Claude models — MCP servers, sub-agents, agent skills — with white-glove deployment support, and codifying repeatable deployment patterns back to Product/Engineering. Wants 4+ years in a technical customer-facing role (FDE, or software engineer with consulting/product experience; former technical founders encouraged), production LLM experience (advanced prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, deployment at scale), and strong Python (TypeScript/Java a plus). A background in financial services or healthcare/life sciences is a plus. Hybrid (in-office ≥25%), frequent travel (25–50%) to customer sites; visa sponsorship available.
