Forward Deployed Robotics Engineer
Why it's interesting
The FLUX team is standing up a forward-deployed robotics seat — a frontier image/video lab embedding engineers on customers' actual robots to ship model integrations and finetunes. The clearest signal yet that generative-media labs are chasing physical AI, and a rare FDE role that wants diffusion/flow-matching internals plus edge-inference tuning.
The role
Embed with Black Forest Labs' robotics and physical-AI customers to design, prototype, and ship integrations and finetunes of BFL generative models on real robots; optimize latency and output quality across on-prem, hosted, real-time and edge deployments; and feed learnings back to the research team. Wants diffusion-model/flow-matching knowledge and transformer inference-optimization experience. It is now the lab's live forward-deployed seat after the FD Machine Learning Engineer role closed.
