Sift
Forward Deployed Engineer, Infrastructure
Why it's interesting
The FDE model reaches hard-tech. Sift — built by SpaceX, Palantir, and Google alumni out of Dragon/Falcon/Starlink telemetry work — embeds engineers to wire its high-frequency observability platform into rockets, drones, and autonomous machines. $150K–$200K + equity, in-office twice a week. Proof the deployment role isn't only SaaS chat agents: it's moving to physical AI, exactly where TechCrunch says FDE demand shifts next.
The role
Bridge Sift's telemetry-observability platform and customers' complex engineering environments — deploy and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure and build custom solutions alongside aerospace and autonomous-systems teams. STEM degree (CS, data science, engineering, physics, math); genuine interest in aerospace/advanced engineering. Founded by a SpaceX/Google/Palantir team. Verified live on Sift's own Ashby board.
Applications go directly to the company. We curate; we don't broker.
