Our take

Why FlowGen Labs

A rare published $200K–$375K band for FDE work on a niche most lists miss: autonomous agents inside Fortune 500 SAP estates, on-site in the Bay Area.

FDE type: True forward-deployed
Travel: Medium
Comp: Top of market
Stage: Early-stage

A good fit if you're…

Engineers with SAP or ERP exposure who want to work on agents instead of integrations alone
Candidates who need visa sponsorship, which the posting offers
People happy to be on-site in the Bay Area at a small company

What they do

FlowGen Labs runs autonomous agents inside enterprise SAP environments for Fortune 500 customers in CPG, distribution, high-tech and oil and gas. ERP is where the unglamorous, high-value workflows live, and it is a corner of agent deployment that few startups target directly.

What “forward deployed” means here

The role owns platform deployments end to end: scoping high-leverage workflows, configuring agent behavior (planning, tool use, retrieval, prompts), validating integrations and guardrails, and writing AOPs, integration specs and evaluation plans. That is real FDE scope with eval discipline built in, and you also feed repeatable abstractions back to the Platform team.

Comp & leveling

The posting lists $200K–$375K total compensation plus equity. The wide spread suggests flexible leveling, and the top of the range is lab-adjacent money for a small company. Ask how much of the band is cash versus equity-weighted TC, because that decides the real figure.

Growth signals

We could not source funding or headcount figures, so we will not guess. What is visible: a published band, visa sponsorship, and Fortune 500 SAP customers, which together suggest a company with enough traction to buy its first deployment engineers rather than founders doing it by hand.

A $200K–$375K total-comp band is published on the posting, with visa sponsorship offered. FlowGen runs autonomous agents inside Fortune 500 SAP environments, so this FDE seat is agent configuration, guardrails and eval plans on legacy ERP, a niche most FDE lists miss.
