Salesforce vs Snowflake
Two public-company FDE programs aimed at the same buyer: enterprises that already run their data and workflows on a platform and now want AI agents on top. Salesforce is industrializing the title at scale with Agentforce; Snowflake is running a leaner Cortex AI seat.
| Salesforce | Snowflake | |
|---|---|---|
| Open roles | 2 | 1 |

| Travel | Medium | Remote-first |
| Comp | Competitive | Competitive |
| Stage | Public | Public |
| Our take | The single largest FDE hiring wave in the market — and the easiest lab-adjacent entry point, if you accept a GTM-flavored seat. | Databricks' mirror-image FDE seat — remote-friendly, and sitting on top of half the enterprise data in America. |
Bottom line
Snowflake is the better pure-FDE seat: a posted $230K–$390K band, remote-first, and a motion built on data customers already centralized. Salesforce's $200K–$330K band is lower, and the work is GTM-hybrid inside a mature sales-and-services machine. The trade is volume for depth. Salesforce has by far the most seats and the easiest way into the title, so it suits career-switchers. Snowflake has fewer seats and a higher ceiling, so it suits engineers who already have platform depth.
