Normal Computing

Forward Deployed Engineer

$180K–$325K frontier labsilicon / EDArare vertical

New York (also SF / Copenhagen / Seoul / London) · Posted July 13, 2026

Why it's interesting

The only FDE seat where you live inside SystemVerilog and UVM testbenches — Normal calls itself a 'frontier AI lab for silicon,' embedding engineers with the world's largest chipmakers to cut EDA cost 1,000x. $180K–$325K to own a vertical almost no other FDE can touch.

The role

Own Normal's EDA platform inside a customer's environment: integrate it with their design flows and production codebases, diagnose issues across the model, data, and workflow, and carry silicon-team constraints back to research. Requires strong Python and distributed-systems literacy plus real ML-stack depth (fine-tuning, evals, RAG, agentic patterns) and willingness to go deep on semiconductor verification. Sourced from Plank FDE census (CC BY 4.0); verified on Normal's Ashby board.
