Why it's interesting
Founding FDE seat at a startup betting against the LLM-wrapper playbook entirely: co-founded by ex-Microsoft VP Dan Roth and UC Berkeley professor Dan Klein, Khosla-backed, and built on APT-1, a model the company says "reasons deterministically" rather than via prompting. If that claim holds up in enterprise deployments, this is one of the more differentiated FDE seats on the board right now — not another Claude/GPT integration shop.
The role
Design, deploy, and scale reliable AI agents directly with enterprise customers across finance, healthcare, legal, and operations; collaborate with the research team to expand model capabilities and build evaluation frameworks for agent reliability. Wants 3+ years of software engineering experience with shipped production systems, Python proficiency and modern AI agent development experience, and a background in customer-facing technical roles (solutions engineer, FDE). Onsite in Mountain View.
